What is Ayurveda?
Ayurveda is the traditional Indian system of medicine, and it uses yoga as both a preventive and curative tool. According to Ayurveda everyone has a unique constitution that is determined at birth. Your constitution, which influences your physique, health, personality and behaviour, consists of a combination of three dostias: Vatta. Pita and Kapha.
vata is the element of air, Pita is the element of fire and Kapho is the element of water. One of these elements usually dominates your constitution, and the other two elements play a less important role. A few people are rridoshic, meaning that all three doshas are evenly balanced, and a few people seem to have only two elements and none of the third.
